Springfield is our historic area… established in 1869, surrounding our town center.  It is on the Historic Register and boasts wonderful examples of 19th and early 20th century architecture

January 2010 issue of Southern Living spotlights Springfield as the #1 “comeback” neighborhood in the south.  Also featured in Florida Trend Magazine as a neighborhood that continued to thrive during the down housing market.  Neighbors here are friends.  The gather in the evenings on the big verandas (these are not just porches) and frequently “pot luck” and even have a community garden.  Henry John Klutho was one of the most influential architects during its early years and there are many examples of his homes, designs and influence.

If you are looking for historic small town feel, this many be your home.

Together with Northside, Westside and Southside, Arlington is one of the larger neighbors in Duval County.  It was also one of the first areas in the United States to be visited by Europeans and was the site for the French Fort Carline in 1564.  The Fort Caroline National Memorial stands in its place.  It is home to the “hills” in our area… lovely rolling landscape bordered by the river and magnificent oak trees are laden with Spanish Moss.

Many neighborhoods make up Arlington and a wide variety of price ranges.  You can find starter homes to mansions throughout this community.

Lots of shopping centers including Regency Mall are easily accessible from anywhere in Arlington.

Just over the bridge to downtown and the Sports Complex for concerts and the many sporting events.  Like most of Jacksonville, Arlington too is bordered by water and is only a few short miles to our beaches.

The Northside is not just the entry into Jacksonville if traveling south to Florida but is the International entry as well.  Whether traveling by land, sea or air you will begin your Jacksonville most likely, in the Northside.  Our airport, port and major Interstates are here.  Our Northside is a gateway to adventure where you can afford a variety of lifestyles.

Waterfront homes with deepwater riverfront out the back door.  Immediate access to world class fishing and the ocean.  Homes with vintage style, small comfortable neighborhoods or new developments with modern amenities and wonderful new shopping centers make this part of Jacksonville a place to consider.
