An unincorporated area of Clay County with a city center settled in the early 1820’s.  The population of this delightful small town community, according to the census in 2010 is 13,008, but is an area enjoying growth and development at a great rate.  Current figures appear to estimate that there are currently 36,000 residents.  Although close to a major city (Jacksonville), it is an outdoor lovers paradise.  There are many woodland areas, parks (ll community parks, 19 neighborhood parks, 11 public boat ramps and 35 miles of trails).  The Black Creek Revines Conversation Area and Jennings State Forest are located in Middleburg along with the Osceloa Natinal Forest, and Gold Head Branch State Park.  Homes in this lovely and desirable area are relatively affordable and opportunities for water views are plentiful.
